Iran and Russia will expand their relations in the fields of environment protection and natural resources management.
Following a meeting on Saturday with the Iranian minister of industry and mines, Russian Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology Yuri Trutnev said both countries possess vast natural resources, adding that the two countries can enhance their management of the resources by exchanging knowledge in the field.
Trutnev pointed out that huge Russian international firms are presently working in Iran which affirms the fact that the Islamic Republic is a suitable place for foreign investments.
The Russian official stated that he backed the suggestion to him to create a joint workgroup to monitor the activities of Russian firms in Iran and Iranian firms in Russia.
He acknowledged that all countries endeavor to look after their ecology, adding that since we all live on one planet we must cooperate and be coordinated.
