Since Jan. 1, Uzbekistan has canceled high duty rate for notarization of powers of attorney and contracts regarding cars with age of up to one year.
Prior to this, the duty rate for notarization of powers of attorney or contracts for the purchase and sale, barter, donation, rent, lease, gratuitous use, pledge and lease of domestic and imported cars with a period of operation of up to one year from the date of acquisition from authorized dealers amounted to 5 minimum wages (over $100) for one horsepower. At the same time, this rate was applied regardless of the number of transactions on cars during the first year.
The current duty for notarization of powers of attorney or contracts for the purchase and sale agreements, barter, donations of motor vehicles with age up to three years accounts to 10 percent of the minimum wage, foreign motor vehicles - 30 percent of the minimum wage.
Starting from Dec. 1, 2017, the minimum wage amount grew 15 percent and is presently at $21.2 in Uzbekistan.
