Uzbek bank allocates loans worth over $50M to small businesses

Uzbekistan’s Private Joint Stock Bank “Trustbank” allocated loans worth 448.1 billion soums ($55 million) to small businesses in 2017.
2018 was announced as the “Year of Support for Entrepreneurship, Innovative Ideas and Technologies” in Uzbekistan and the bank intends to continue supporting businessmen by providing them with financial and legal assistance, said “Trustbank” in a message.
Under the presidential decree on measures to further improve the management, accelerated development and diversification of power industry for 2017-2021, the bank supports the activities of business entities of this direction through financing, the bank said.
PJSB “Trustbank” was established in 1994 and presently serves 212,200 private and 19,900 corporate clients.
