The Government of Kazakhstan plans to cancel the accrual of bank interest under real estate mortgage contracts after a 6-month repayment delay, said Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan Marat Beketayev at a plenary session of the Kazakh parliament.
This is done to prevent artificial increase of borrowers' debts, Beketayev said, Kazakh media reported.
The ministry also plans to prohibit banks from charging commissions for bank loan agreements not related to entrepreneurial activities.
