Uzbekistan’s Finance Ministry set the minimum possible tax rate on one vehicle for passenger and vehicle transportation enterprises in 2018 in order to prevent tax evasion by logistics companies, the press service of the ministry said in its budget message.
The message reads that logistics companies are usually prone to tax evasion. Legal entities paid approx. 140,000 soums in 2016, whereas individual entrepreneurs paid 260,000 soums.
In line with to the law, fixed tax rate on freight carrying is set according to the payload of the transport vehicle.
It was reported earlier that Uzbekistan is planning to spend roughly 7 trillion soums to develop economy which is 31.9 percent more compared to 2017.
