Azerbaijani company eyes to export Nakhchivan flatbread to more countries(Exclusive)

The Gemikaya Bereket Gida Mahsullari LLC located in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic intends to expand the range of bakery products.

By the end of 2018, the company intends to begin to export new bakery products under the Nakhchivan Lavash brand (soft, thin unleavened flatbread), the company told Trend on Dec. 7.

"A new production line for the production of flour products, including various types of cookies and other sweets, will be created in the company soon,” the company added. “We plan to export new varieties of our products to Georgia and Turkey. At the same time, we intend to export the products to Russia."

“This type of product is expected to be exported to the Russian market in 2019,” the company added. "Presently, we are negotiating with our potential partners abroad. We plan to expand the range of some products for export in 2019."

The company's products have ISO 9001: 2008 certificate and a certificate of conformity issued by the State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.

The company has been provided with Italian, German and Turkish equipment.
