Turkey aims to up revenues from real estate sale to foreigners

Turkey plans to increase revenues from the sale of real estate to foreigners in 2019, the Turkish General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre told Trend.

The revenues from the sale of real estate to foreigners in 2019 are expected at $10 billion.

"In 2018, this figure was $4.8 billion," the directorate said.

Mainly citizens of Arab and Turkic-speaking countries, as well as citizens of Russia are interested in acquiring real estate in Turkey.

"Most foreigners are interested in buying property in Istanbul, Antalya and Bursa," the directorate added.
