The bilateral trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan reached about $684 million in 2018, which is more than in 2017, Trend reports referring to the Watan newspaper.
During the recent talks in Ashgabat, the Turkmen and Afghan sides stressed the need to find opportunities to greatly increase the mutual trade turnover volumes and diversify it.
The sides talked about the joint cooperation in the production of industrial goods, agriculture, services and other spheres.
Besides the role of entrepreneurship, the Turkmen and Afghan sides stressed the need to intensify the work of the Turkmen-Afghan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
