Kazakhstan’s SCAT air company is launching flights on the routes Almaty-Medina (on Wednesdays) and Almaty-Jeddah (on Saturdays) on Boeing-757 starting from November 30, 2019, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s Civil Aviation Committee.

“According to the current agreement between the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia, the designated airlines of both parties have the right to carry out four passenger flights and three cargo scheduled flights per week between the countries,” the report said.

The permitted cities for Saudi Arabia air companies are Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent and Karaganda, and for Kazakhstan air companies – Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina and Dammam.

Furthermore, staring from 2016, SCAT company has been performing irregular flights to Saudi Arabia to transport Kazakhstan’s pilgrims during the Hajj season.

Since the beginning of 2019, the air company has launched direct international flights from the capital of Kazakhstan to Prague, Ulaanbaatar, Moscow and Tokyo.
