Oil, petroleum products output increases in Kazakhstan

Volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 15.6 million tons during first two months of 2020, which is 2.1 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 5.8 percent compared to the same period of 2019.

Thus, manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 19.2 million tons, which is 6.4 percent more compared to the reporting months of 2019. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 0.8 million tons (increase by 28.4 percent).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 0.9 million tons, which is 20.6 percent more than in the same period of 2019. Manufacturing of flat metal was 0.3 million tons (increase by 79.3 percent), of gasoil to 0.7 million tons (increase by 6.7 percent), of electricity to 19.8 billion kWh (increase by 4 percent).

The report said that production of crude oil, natural gas and metal ores increased over the period from January through February 2020 compared to the same period of 2019.

Manufacturing of tobacco products, oil processing, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy and mechanical engineering increased during the reporting period.

At the same time manufacturing of chemical industry products decreased during the reporting period of 2020 compared to 2019.
