Georgia reveals TOP 10 most imported car models

The number of cars registered in Georgia increased by 53,000 in 2019, Trend reports citing the report of Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Toyota Prius was the most frequently imported car in the country last year, accounting for 12 percent of all car imports, said the ministry.

The second place in car imports is occupied by Toyota Camry.

The ten most frequently imported models in Georgia are as follows:

1) TOYOTA PRIUS - a 12-percent share in the total automobile import;

2) TOYOTA PRIUS - a 7-percent share in total automotive import;

3) TOYOTA CAMRY - a 5.3-percent share in the total automobile import;

4) FORD TRANSIT - a 4.8-percent share in the total automobile import;

5) TOYOTA RAV - a 4.2-percent share in the total import of cars import;

6) TOYOTA AQUA - a 3.5-percent share in the total automobile import;

7) HYUNDAI ELANTRA - a 3.4-percent share in the total automobile import;

8) HONDA FIT - a 2.3 percent share in the total volume of car import;

9) HYUNDAI SONATA - a 2.3-percent share in the total volume of car import;

10) VOLKSWAGEN JETTA - a 1.6-percent share in the total volume of car import.

According to the report, most cars were imported to Georgia from the United States.
