Khalilova / The President of Azerbaijan Bank Association (ABA), Eldar Ismayilov, will leave for Moscow on 23 August in order to officially apply for membership to the International Coordination Council of Bank Associations of the CIS, Central and East Europe, the Executive Director of ABA, Farhad Aliyev, reported on 21 August.
The decision to enter the organization was made at the ABA general meeting on 7 July. "In order to apply for membership we must firstly submit an official letter. After it has been considered by the representatives of the bank associations represented in the Council, the appeal will then be discussed at the next meeting," Aliyev said.
The meeting of the International Coordination Council will take place in September. According to Aliyev, membership to the organization is free.
It is thought that membership to the International Bank Council promotes the establishment of cooperation with other associations and any additional information, which is necessary in the process of globalization.
The visit will be end on 26 August.
