Kazakhstan, Astana, 8 February / Trend corr. K.Konirova / The Georgian Black Sea port and Rumanian Constance port may become an energy bridge between Kazakhstan and Europe, Din Patricio, the general director of Rompetrol, stated to journalists during the press-conference in Astana.
"Soon after the acquisition by KazMunaygas Batumi terminal we have launched the development of the terminal near our oil refining plant in Constance," Patricio said. According to Patricio, it is one of the alternative routes to provide energy security in Europe.
"Today, we speak a great deal about the Nabucco gas project, although I consider it realistic to speak about the 'South flow' project. Today, any company which can propose an alternative to Europe will be a hero. Presently, we have such potential and can speak about the implementation of joint projects, like tanker transportations through Batumi and Constance ports or the construction of a gas pipeline through the depth or coast of the Black Sea," Patricio said.
