Georgia's Union of importers, producers and consumers of petroleum products believes that the anti-crisis package to stimulate the economy, which the government is developing, will become a major factor for the Georgian economy to overcome the global economic crisis with the lowest losses.

It would be good if the package takes into account the rules of natural losses of petroleum products, as it is in the European practice, Chairman of the Union Vano Mtvralashvili said at the briefing on June 10.

"We do not have this rule, which operates in almost all countries and this creates a serious problem for oil companies," he said.

The Union of importers, producers and consumers of petroleum products asks the Georgian government to consider the matter.
