A fire that occurred on the central warehouse of Bos Shelf at 19.05 (Baku time) on Sunday was extinguished by two o'clock in the night and was completely eliminated by six o'clock Monday morning. The fire did not injure any, a source in the enterprise reported.
According to preliminary version, a fire could occur for technical reasons, as no one was in the object at that time.
"The fire did not impact the realization of oil and gas construction projects by Bos Shelf," the source said.
The commission work at the scene at the Baku Deep Water Jacket Factory named after Heydar Aliyev and clarifies reasons of the incident. There will also be audited all fire fighting equipment on construction sites of the enterprise.
Bos Shelf is a contractor for BP to build the base blocks and bottom plates under the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli project. The company has built six base units under the project. Bos Shelf preparing to build another unit.
