Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 14 /Trend, E.Ostapenko/
The refineries of Kazakhstan have increased gasoline supplies to Almaty and Almaty region, thus preventing the transport collapse, the press service of the "Samruk-Kazyna" National Welfare Fund reported.
"Over recent period, a critical situation started to develop with the fuel supply of Almaty city and Almaty region. Particularly, lack of the most demanded gasoline A-92 and diesel fuel was recorded," the press service said.
In this regard, the Fund promptly corrected the direction of fuel supplies and organized an intensive shipping of additional volumes of light petroleum products from refineries.
The delivery from the Atyrau oil refinery has been increased from 157 to 734 tons per day, from the Pavlodar petrochemical plant - from 1,066 to 2,282 tons and from PetroKazakhstan Oil Products - from 985 to 1,675 tons per day.
Currently, AI-92 gasoline is sold without restriction at filling stations of KazMunaiGas and Sinooil. Additional volumes of light petroleum products enabled Helios filling station to also sell AI-92 gasoline without any restrictions, the Fund said. Royal Petrol filling station also began sale.
Fuel shortages at filling stations in Kazakhstan have been recorded since May. Shortage was recorded with the most popular brands of gasoline A-80, A-92 and partially A-95 and diesel fuel.
Kazakhstan legally fixed state-regulated fuel prices last summer. The limit on retail prices for petroleum products is established in the country monthly in order to stabilize supply and demand on the market, as well as prevent speculative prices.
In order to avoid shortages of fuel and unjustified growth of fuel prices in Kazakhstan, a ban has been imposed on the export of petroleum products by Dec. 31 this year.
