Small gasoline refinery commissioned on Iran's border with Afghanistan

A small gasoline refinery has been commissioned in the Dohgarun border crossing point in the Taibad region of the northwestern Iranian Razavi Khorasan province, Executive Director of Iran's Dogarun small petrol processing plant Murtaza Rezaei told Iranian News Agency (IRNA), Trend reports.

All equipment at this plant is manufactured domestically, Rezaei said.

Rezaei added that the first unit of the plant was launched with 200 billion rials (about $4.76 million) investment of private sector.

With a provision of raw materials, the plant can produce 500 tons of light and heavy hydrocarbons per day, Rezaei said.

The products of this plant will be exported to Afghanistan, the executive director said.

Rezaei said that 20 hectares of territory is planned for commissioning of second section of the small gasoline refinery, and hereby 1 trillion rials (about $23.8 million) of funds is needed.
