IEA expects Azerbaijan to boost oil output in 2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 11

The International Energy Agency (IEA) expects Azerbaijan’s oil production to rise from 0.72 million barrels per day in 2021 to 0.74 million barrels per day in 2022, Trend reports citing the agency.

Azerbaijan’s oil production is forecast at 0.70 million barrels per day in Q2, 0.73 million barrels per day in Q3 and Q4 each.

Azerbaijan’s oil production is expected to stand at 0.72 million barrels per day in 2021, as compared to 0.70 million in 2020.

IEA estimates that Azerbaijan’s oil production stood at 0.77 million barrels per day in 2019.

The daily oil production (with condensate) in Azerbaijan amounted to 674,000 barrels in May 2021, according to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.

Around 586,000 barrels of this volume accounted for crude oil while 88,000 barrels for condensate.

The average daily production of crude oil in Azerbaijan will be maintained at 603,000 barrels in May, 610,000 barrels in June and 620,000 barrels in July in accordance with the latest OPEC+ decision.
