BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 17. The volume of transit oil transportation via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline stood at 4.131 million tons from January through October 2022, versus 2.815 million tons in the same period in 2021, Trend reports November 17 with reference to Azerbaijan’s State Statistical Committee.

As such BTC’s transit oil transportation grew by nearly 46.7 percent year-on-year.

Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan transported 24.428 million tons of oil, accounting for 78.8 percent of 31.003 million tons of oil pumped via Azerbaijan’s main oil pipelines, as compared to 21.777 million tons or 74.9 percent of 29.090 million transported in the first 10 months of 2021.

The BTC pipeline currently carries mainly ACG crude oil and Shah Deniz condensate from Azerbaijan. In addition, other volumes of Caspian regional crude oil and condensate continue to be transported via BTC.

BTC Co. shareholders are: bp (30.1 percent), SOCAR (25 percent), MOL (8.9 percent), Equinor (8.71 percent), TPAO (6.53 percent), Eni (5 percent), TotalEnergies (5 percent), ITOCHU (3.4 percent), INPEX (2.5 percent), ExxonMobil (2.5 percent) and ONGCVidesh (2.36 percent).
