BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 31

By Fakhri Vakilov – Trend:

Uzbekistan’s Orient Finance Bank will direct $20.1 million from the unallocated part of the bank's net profit for 2020 for dividends on ordinary shares, Trend reports citing Uzbekistan’s Republican Stock Exchange (RSE) "Toshkent".

This decision was made at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders.

The bank's shareholders will receive $0.0033 per share. At the discretion of the owners of the securities, the funds can be used to purchase additional issued common shares of the financial institution.

The major holders of the bank's securities are two individuals - Saken Pulatov and Paizullajon Mirzaev. Each of them owns 22.49 percent of the share. This alignment was formed after large transactions at the RSE on June 27, 2021, with securities of the financial institution for $4.9 million.

According to the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, Orient Finance ranks fifth among private banks in Uzbekistan in terms of assets. As of August 1, this figure amounted to almost $535.3. This is 23.2 percent more than a year ago.
