The managing director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (known as RAI), announced that during the Ministry`s delegation recent visit to Turkey, Iran to facilitate the implementation of a five-party agreement on the passage of the Chinese rail transit corridor to Europe via Iran.
Referring to the tariff incentives for railways, the head of RAI Saeed Rasouli said that "Tariff issues are usually discussed in bilateral or multilateral corridor negotiations between countries,” Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
"In each route, depending on the amount of freight demand, we usually have a multilateral memorandum of cooperation between countries,” he said.
Rasouli added that in the Chinese transit corridor to Europe via Iran, we signed a five-party document.
“During our recent visit to Turkey, we again agreed to streamline the implementation of this document."
