Uzbek state committee, business ombudsman join forces to protect entrepreneurs’ rights

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the State Committee for Competition of Uzbekistan and the Commissioner under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the protection of the rights and legal interests of business entities (business ombudsman).

The document concerns the sphere of development of entrepreneurial activity, protection of rights and legitimate interests of business entities.

According to the State Committee, the main goal of this memorandum is comprehensive support for the restoration of production activities and increasing the efficiency of privatized enterprises, ensuring a stable growth of population’s incomes through creation of new jobs, and ensuring the protection of rights and guarantees of private property.

The parties plan to create a working group to improve legislation in the field of entrepreneurial activity, as well as holding seminars, round tables and conferences with the participation of entrepreneurs in order to implement the tasks envisaged in the memorandum.
