Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi will arrive in Astana on Tuesday on a working visit, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesman Altai Abibullayev said on Monday.
"The two sides plan to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation in political, trade and economic spheres," Abibullayev said at a briefing.
During the visit, Salehi will meet with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov.
According to IRNA, during a visit to Kazakhstan, the Iranian Foreign Minister will attend the 12th session of the joint Iran-Kazakhstan Economic Commission.
The 11th session of Iran-Kazakhstan Economic Commission was held in Tehran in March 2010.
Before his visit to Kazakhstan, Salehi will visit Cyprus.
