ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 12. Housing prices on the primary market in Kazakhstan increased by 3.2 percent in November 2023 compared to November 2022, Trend reports.

Data of the country's Bureau of National Statistics shows that over the same period, prices for secondary market apartments decreased by 5.4 percent.

In addition, rent for comfortable housing in November 2023 compared to the same month last year decreased by 0.9 percent.

Regionally, prices on the primary housing market in annual terms increased significantly in the cities of Pavlodar by 14.8 percent, Petropavlovsk - by 10.6 percent.

In the secondary housing market, the leaders in price growth are the cities of Atyrau (11.8 percent), Semey (8.3 percent), in the rental housing market - Zhezkazgan (30 percent), Karaganda (23 percent) and Kokshetau (22.3 percent).

On the housing purchase and sale market in November 2023 the number of registered transactions amounted to 31,727, of which 7,579 were for individual houses and 24,148 for apartments in multi-apartment buildings.

Compared to October 2023 (32,975) the number of housing purchase and sale transactions decreased by 3.8 percent.

The cities of Almaty (6,261 - 19.7 percent) and Astana (4,828 - 15.2 percent), as well as the Karaganda region (2,727 - 8.6 percent) remain the leaders in the number of transactions. The fewest transactions were carried out in the Ulytau region - 417 units (1.3 percent).
