BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Countries of the European Union (EU) exported to Tajikistan vegetables worth 289,964 euro in February 2023, which is 21.7 percent less than in the previous month (353,055 euro), the source at the Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
Overall, Tajikistan imported vegetables for 643,019 euro from EU from January through February 2023.
Back in 2022, members of EU exported to Tajikistan vegetables for 5.8 million euro in 2022. The figure deceased by 24 percent compared to 2021 (7.6 million).
In total, Tajikistan imported goods from the EU countries for more than 56.4 million euro from January through February 2023. At the same time, the value of Tajikistan’s exports to the EU totaled 27.6 million.
The value of trade turnover between Tajikistan and EU countries exceeded 84 million euro in the first two months of 2023.
The main importing products by Tajikistan from the EU include vegetables, animal or vegetable fats, prepared foodstuffs, mineral products, chemical products, plastic and rubber, wood, textiles, base metal, machinery, various vehicles and other.
