Hot water and heating prices to increase in Tashkent on April 1

According to a report of 'Tashteploenergo" Production Association (PA) and "Suvsoz "(Vodokanal) State Trust, tariffs on central heating and hot water supply in Tashkent will increase by 13.5 percent on April 1, 2013.

According to a report of 'Tashteploenergo" Production Association (PA) and "Suvsoz "(Vodokanal) State Trust, tariffs on central heating and hot water supply in Tashkent will increase by 13.5 percent on April 1, 2013.

For example, the monthly fee for central heating will increase from current 584.18 soms per square meter of dwelling space to 663.05 soms.

Hot water tariffs in the presence of a counter will constitute 2124.73 soms per cubic meter (now - 1871.99 soms per cubic meter), in the absence of one - 8297.58 soms per person per month against 7310.58 soms before.

For residents of dormitories with shared showers, the tariff will constitute 6172.6 soms per person per month, compared to the current 5438.37 soms.

Wholesale tariffs for heat energy for enterprises and organizations is set at the amount 37,276 soms per Gcal without VAT (now - 32,842 soms) and 44,731.2 Gcal soms considering VAT (now - 39410.4 soms).

Last time the prices of hot water and heating rose in October 2012 by nine percent. In general, during the last year, tariffs for these types of communal services in Uzbekistan grew by 25.9 percent.

The official currency exchange rate for March 15 is 2030.73 soms/$ 1.
