Uzbekistan reveals expected volume of Russian investments for 2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 11. Uzbekistan expects to utilize $5 billion of Russian investments in 2024, Trend reports.

This was announced at a meeting where President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was informed about the progress in the implementation of agreements and further plans for investment cooperation with foreign partners.

During the meeting, the participant noted that about $3 billion of Russian investments were utilized last year.

Meanwhile, the number of enterprises and organizations with foreign capital in Uzbekistan amounted to 14,226 as of April 2024. This figure has increased by 27 units over the previous month (14,199).

Uzbekistan has 9,650 foreign enterprises and 4,576 joint ventures.

The top five nations with the most corporations in Uzbekistan are: Russia (3,019 firms), China (2,501 enterprises), Türkiye (1,886 enterprises), Kazakhstan (1,102 enterprises), and South Korea (727 enterprises). With only 187 businesses, Turkmenistan has the lowest number of enterprises.
