Kyrgyzstan's state budget revenues increase

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, May 11. Kyrgyzstan's state budget revenue reached 89.091 billion soms ($1.008 billion) from January through March 2024, which is a 19 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.

The Ministry of Finance disclosed that, 80.090 billion soms ($906.407 million) constituted revenues of the national budget, while local budget revenues amounted to 13.516 billion soms ($152.965 million).

Tax receipts accounted for the majority of the state budget revenues, totaling 76.715 billion soms ($868.211 million). The State Tax Service collected 47.447 billion soms ($536.974 million) in taxes. During this period, the Customs Service contributed 29.268 billion soms ($331.236 million) to the budget.

In 2023, Kyrgyzstan's state budget receipts peaked at 391.874 billion soms ($4.434 billion). Imports accounted for 40 percent of state budget income in 2023. Last year, import taxes rose 37.6 percent to 156.9 billion soms ($1.775 billion).
