BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. Exports of Turkish steel products to Uzbekistan increased by 68.3 percent from January through April 2024,compared to the same month in 2023, and equaled $21.9 million, Trend reports via Turkish Trade Ministry's data.
The data also shows that in this April, Türkiye exported steel products worth $5.8 million to Uzbekistan, which is 67.8 percent more than in the same period last year.
To note, Turkish steel exports abroad increased by 12 percent year-on-year to $5.2 billion from January through April 2024.
Türkiye exported steel products worth $1.2 billion abroad in April this year, which was 13.6 percent more than in April last year.
Additionally, the country exported $15.4 billion worth of steel products to foreign markets in the last 12 months (from April 2023 through April 2024).
