Iranian Offshore Oil Company's production to increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Production at the Foruzan oil field in Iran will increase by 7,000 barrels per day with the launch of a well on the F18 platform, the executive director of Offshore Iranian Oil Company, Alireza Mehdizadeh said, Trend reports.

He claims that they have completed six wells and conducted testing operations on the F18 platform.

Mehdizadeh noted that overall operations continue in the Forouzan oil field to maintain and increase production within the framework of cooperation between the Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex and Petropars.

He announced plans to drill and operate 12 new wells in the field as part of this cooperation. To date, 9 wells have been drilled, and 8 of them have been completed. Testing operations were carried out twice on three wells. Since 2022, three wells have generated 3,000 barrels of crude oil per day.

To note, the Forouzan oil field is located in the Persian Gulf, 100 km southeast of Kharg Island, in the Bushehr Province of southern Iran. Discovered in 1966, this oil field holds 2.3 billion barrels of oil. In this field, Iran has 53 oil wells.
