BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. The volume of loans issued to individuals in Uzbekistan from January through April 2022, increased by 28.2 percent compared to the same period last year (58.7 trillion soums, or $5.3 billion), reaching 75.3 trillion soums ($6.8 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
From the total volume of loans issued to individuals in the corresponding period, mortgage loans accounted for 38.8 trillion soums ($3.5 billion), microloans accounted for 10.1 trillion soums ($919.2 million), and consumer loans accounted for 14.9 trillion soums ($1.4 billion).
At the same time, the volume of loans issued to legal entities increased from January through April 2022 by 13.6 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (233.3 trillion soums, or $21.2 billion) reaching 264.9 trillion soums ($24 billion).
