Iran's Petrochemical Research and Technology Company Iran has launched producing 100 percent-pure methanol, Shana News reported.
Increasing domestic and international demand for pure grades of methanol led a few European companies' monopoly of the products, while the tightening sanctions threatened the supply of methanol to Iran.
The methanol produced by Iran is cheaper and of a higher quality because the raw material is supplied domestically.
