Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is planned to visit Tajikistan in March to attend Nowruz International Festival, Tehran Ambassador to Dushanbe said on Sunday.
Ali Asghar Sherdust said, that when Nowruz was registered on the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009, Iran hosted the international festival for two years, but based on an agreement made between the countries celebrating the day, Nowruz in 2012 will be celebrated in Tajikistan, MOJ news agency reported.
President Ahmadinejad is also planned to inaugurate various Iranian projects in Tajikistan during his visit to the Central Asian country, Sherdust added.
Among the projects, Sherdust referred "Iran Home", which is a center to introduce Iran's Islamic culture and civilization.
