Tehran had the potential to become a high-ranking smart city among the world's smart cities, WeGo Secretary General Kyong-yul Lee said.
“In my opinion, Tehran has a clear roadmap in the field of developing the smart city, and this will require a lot of efforts to achieve the goals,” WeGo Secretary General told Trend on the sidelines of the third Smart Tehran Conference and Exhibition.
“We are in a new age called the Intelligent Age, so we need to change the way we look at the world,” Kyong-yul Lee said adding that the most important feature of smart cities is the flow of happy and quality life in them.
“Smart cities need to be not only sustainable but also very beautiful,” WeGo Secretary General noted.
The Third Smart Tehran Conference and Exhibition organized by Tehran Municipality was held in Tehran on Dec. 9-10.
The First Smart Tehran Congress was held in 2017. During the second event, an open API portal was launched by the city council.
