Tehran, Iran, April 19
By Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:
The Director of International Affairs of Iran's Oil Ministry Mohsen Qamsari has said the ministry has signed a new contract with China on exporting gas condensates to the East Asian country.
He added that Iran is engaged in talks with Asian and European customers which used to buy oil and gas from Iran before sanctions limited trade with Iran.
Surely if a comprehensive nuclear deal is struck and international sanctions are removed, Iran will have the chance to resume its place in international oil markets, he said, Mehr news agency reported April 19.
Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) are talking a way into a comprehensive agreement on the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.
To be reached by July 1, a prospective agreement would remove international sanctions on Iran.
Qamsari also pointed to the prospects of changing the pricing formula for oil trade with India and stated that changing the formula would be the province of the Central Bank of Iran.
"The Iranian National Oil Company is simply tasked with marketing and carrying out the operations related to exporting oil to Indian refineries," the official noted.
Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said earlier the week that Iran has no blocked oil money is China.
He also said that India owes Iran $4-5 billion oil money which is currently frozen in that country, adding the money will be freed after international sanctions are removed.
