German company ready for power cooperation with Iran

The German DIgSILENT power company is says ready to cooperate with Iran on various projects.

The company’s managing board member Flavio Fernandez met top officials of Iran Grid Management Co. to discuss the existing opportunities, ILNA news agency reported September 4.

Iran has been using the powerful DIgSILENT PowerFactory power research application for some 10 years. During the recent years that Iran was under sanctions, it did not stop to receive support for the application from the German company.

Now in the post-sanctions era, the German company is willing to further expand its ties with Iran.

During the meeting, fields of cooperation as diverse as software, consultation, education, research, security, control and dispatching, monitoring, Grid Code studies, smart grids, testing and identification of power plant parameters, the operation of control units such as the PSS, new energy, advance equipment such as FACTS and HVDC, grid restoration, etc. were mentioned.
