Chief Executive Officer at Baharestan New Town Development Company Mohammadreza Ahmadi announced that the Isfahan metro route to the new town of Baharestan will be opened by next Iranian year (starts on March 21, 2022), Trend reports via IRNA.
"Last year, the government allocated $47 million for this subway project, followed by another $47 million to the Baharestan New Town Development Company," Ahmadi said.
He noted that the construction of the metro line to Baharesten has reached a 35-percent progress in 9 years, adding that during last year, its physical progress has reached 70 percent, which is a very significant achievement.
The official said that the project already has a 93-percent physical progress in infrastructure and 17-percent progress in construction of the Baharestan subway station.
