Georgia is ready for KazTransGas-Tbilisi negotiations

Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze intends to pay a visit to Kazakhstan to discuss the "KazTransGas-Tbilisi" situation in the capital of Georgia in early May, Kaladze told the media on Wednesday.

Georgian Deputy Prime Minister, Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze intends to pay a visit to Kazakhstan to discuss the "KazTransGas-Tbilisi" situation in the capital of Georgia in early May, Kaladze told the media on Wednesday.

"We are ready to transfer the company's management to Kazakhstan and discuss the terms of this transfer," the minister said.

He stressed that he is ready to fly to Astana after Easter.

Kaladze said that the Georgian Energy Ministry has concrete proposals to discuss with "KazTrans-Gas" in Astana.

A Georgian manager has been in charge of "KazTransGas-Tbilisi". This move was made two years ago after the company got in trouble for owing $80 million to the Georgian government.
