Police said Tuesday 37 passengers held when an armed gunman seized a bus in central Bulgaria have been released and the hijacker arrested, CNN reported.
The hijacker seized the bus at 2pm (1200 GMT) at a gas station in a small village near Lovech, claiming there was a bomb in the luggage compartment.
No details of the 33-year-old's demands were revealed. Police had said he was demanding a media presence before issuing his terms.
It was not immediately known how the hijack was brought to an end.
Police said the bus had been heading to the town of Varna from the capital Sofia.
