A moderate quake measuring 5.5 on Richter scale struck eastern parts of Indonesia on Thursday, no report of damage or casualty, the local meteorology agency said.
The quake hit at 11:45 Jakarta time (0445 GMT) with epicenter at 111 kilometers Kupang of East Nusa Tenggara province and at 57 kilometers in depth, reported Xinhua according to an official of the agency.
