A fire broke out at the archive section of the Ankara Chamber of Trade (ATO) on Monday, Anadolu reported.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), the chairman of ATO, Salih Bezci said that the fire broke out at about 21.30 hours local time.
"We do not yet know the cause of the fire. Security forces and fire crews have taken the necessary measures. They are trying to take the fire under control. The most important matter here is the safety of our personnel. Nothing has happened to our personnel due to the fire," Bezci stressed.
"The archives section is important for us. We had scanned 70 percent of our archives into the computer. Hopefully, the remaining documents would not get destroyed in the fire," Bezci also said.
