Carpet exports from Turkey to Turkmenistan decreased by 30.45 percent from January through September of this year, compared to the same period in 2019, amounting to $1.7 million, the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.
In September 2020, the export of carpets from Turkey to Turkmenistan increased 12 times compared to September 2019 and amounted to $294,230.
Carpet exports account for 1.6 percent of the country's total exports during this period.
In September 2020, Turkey exported carpets worth $270.5 million to world markets, which is 17.6 percent more than in September of 2019.
Carpet exports in September 2020 accounted for 1.8 percent of the country's total exports.
Over the past 12 months (September 2019 - September 2020), Turkey exported carpets worth $2.5 billion.
