The Turkish Izmir port received 798 ships from January through June 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend on Aug. 2.
Some 124 ships out of those received by the port were flying under the flag of Turkey, 674 under the flags of other countries.
The Turkish ports received 3,917 vessels in June 2021.
Some 1,218 of them were flying under the flag of Turkey, 2,699 - under the flags of other countries.
According to the ministry, the Turkish ports received 23,369 vessels from January through June 2021, including 7,341 under the flag of Turkey.
"Some 16,028 vessels were flying the flags of other countries," the ministry said.
