COUNTING CHAMBER REVEALS VIOLATIONS IN CULTURE DEPARTMENTS OF 5 REGIONS

The Counting Chamber (CC) revealed some violations in use of budget funds in the culture departments of the regions Lankaran, Masalli, Lerik, Astara and Yardimli. The results of the audit were discussed at the meeting of the CC last week, Trend reports.

The audit covered the funds allocated from the public budget for 2004 to culture, fine art, mass media, physical training, religion in the regions. The Chamber discovered divergence between the funds required in the culture departments and acting normative documents, increase of number of staff and other violations. The Culture Ministry and the Finance Ministry will receive reports and make an appropriate decision in this regard.

The government allotted 4,359m manats to the culture sphere of the regions including 274 clubs, 392 libraries, 6 museums, 4 picture galleries and 5 parks.
