Turkey has strengthened the fight against cybercrime, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergun said, Sabah newspaper reported on Monday.
According to him, in order to strengthen the fight against cybercrime professional specialists will be trained in the country.
The Minister also stressed that the training of specialists is necessary to protect the public authorities, as well as financial transactions conducted on the Internet.
Earlier Turkish Minister of Transport, Shipping and Communications Binali Yildirim said Turkish Armed Forces has established a cybercrime combat unit.
According to the minister, cybercrime has recently become Turkey's most debated issue. It is estimated as a real threat to the security of the country.
He also added that the ministry is working out a new bill on cybercrime.
