An official welcoming ceremony for President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was held at the Palace of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
A guard of honor was lined up on a square in front of the palace decorated with state flags of Vietnam and Azerbaijan.
President of the Socialist Republic Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang and his wife Mai Thi Hanh warmly welcomed President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva.
The military orchestra played the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Vietnam.
The chief of the guard of honor reported to President Ilham Aliyev. The heads of state reviewed the guard of honor.
The government officials of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were introduced to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and members of the Azerbaijani delegation were introduced to President of the Socialist Republic Vietnam, Truong Tan Sang.
Then the heads of state and their spouses posed for official photos.
