Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. I.Alizadeh / Two buildings constructed near the collapsed sixteen-storey building will be pulled down. The residents of both buildings, constructed by Mutaffakir company on M. Mukhtarov street, have received notice to evacuate their apartments.
Representatives from the Emergency Situations Ministry of Azerbaijan, and the Capital and Yasamal District Executive Departments inspected two more buildings to evaluate the buildings' conditions to ensure they were of a high enough standard for living. Residents protested against their apartments being pulled down.
A building which was under construction by Mutaffakir company collapsed on 28 August at 17:00 hours. The President of the company, Ali Muradov, who carried out the construction, and other senior company officials have been arrested.
