Chairman of Adjara'sGovernment Levan Varshalomidze met with Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.
According to the Adjara's Government, the meeting was attended by the Georgian Minister of Economic Development Zurab Pololikashvili and head of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara.
Taleb Rifai has been appointed to this post recently and this is his first visit to Batumi.
After the meeting with Chairman of Adjara Government Rifai said that he liked the seaside town, and cooperation will be continued in other spheres in the future.
In 2011, Batumi plans to hold tourism conference, which will affect the attraction of tourists to the region.
