The head of the Turkish-Asian Center for Strategic Studies, Sensoy Suleyman, on a visit to Baku, met with MP Ganira Pashayeva, a member of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Sensoy recalled about MP Ganira Pashayeva's speech at the World Turkic forum, organized on October 20-22 by the Turkish-Asian Center for Strategic Studies. He told about the work conducted to implement the final declaration adopted at the forum and serving the interests of all the Turkic-speaking countries and peoples.
She said that Azerbaijan pays special attention to enhancing cooperation between the Turkic-speaking countries, peoples and joint activities of Turkic diaspora.
Sensoy appreciated the work conducted by Azerbaijan in this direction. He expressed satisfaction with meetings held in Azerbaijan. He said that the negotiations are held. The agreements have been already signed to implement activities and projects together with different organizations in Azerbaijan. He said that implementing of joint projects in Baku is very important.
Pashayeva said that it is also important to expand cooperation between the Turkish and Azerbaijani Center for Strategic Studies and NGOs. She told Sensoy about the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, the acts of vandalism committed by Armenians on these territories. She said that Armenia does not make any steps to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
It was reported about the importance of implementing joint projects in the research area between the think tanks of the two countries.
A number of other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
