Sergey Ivanov, the Russian Deputy Premier and Defense Minister, presented his views on the activities of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers, Trend reports citing ITAR-TASS.
"Rumors that the CIS Council of Defense Ministers is on its last legs are premature, Mr. Ivanov stated during his remarks at a meeting of the integration and military co-operation organization in Brest. The Council is certainly not dead.
He noted the activities of CIS Council of Defense Ministers, such as military ecology, topography, hydro metrology, psychology and sociology. The Council took a resolution, for the first time, on the interaction of the military administration of the CIS countries with the religious organizations and unions for clerical training of the military. "It will benefit the training of the military, The Russian Minister stressed.
Some activities of CIS Council of Defense Ministers will favor not only the military co-operation, but also civil sector of our economy, particularly, topography, hydro-metrology et cetera.
